Located between Dell Butcher Hall and Anderson Biological Laboratory, the botany garden is used as a living laboratory for students interested in botany. Students enrolled in Plant Diversity lab (BIOS 339) use this collection of plants to learn first-hand about plant data collection, identification, and classification. The Botany Garden includes cacti, agaves, spring flowering perennials, and wildflowers, many of which are representatives of our native, Texas flora. The Rice student club T.E.R.R.A (Texas Ecological Restoration and Rehabilitation Association) helps with the maintenance and upkeep of this garden.
